What Does Parameterization Mean?

A parametrization is another way of describing points on a line, points on a surface or points in three-dimensional space. When using parametrization, we use an extra variable $t$ and one or more vectors to create a new expression for each variable $x$, $y$ and $z$. These expressions are called the parametric equation of the line.
