Completing the Square Using GeoGebra


You can use GeoGebra to complete the square of a quadratic expression, using either CAS or Algebra View.

GeoGebra Instruction 1

1.
Open Algebra View or CAS under GeoGebra icon View in GeoGebra icon Menu.
2.
Type CompleteSquare in an empty row. Then you’ll see the following:

CompleteSquare(<Quadratic Function>)

3.
Enter your expression where it says <Quadratic Function> and press Enter.
4.
If you type

CompleteSquare(<Quadratic Function>)

in CAS, you can choose to get the exact value written with fractions.
